Foo Sek Jek graduated with double degrees in both law and accountancy from Australia. Sek Jek practices extensively in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Banking. His experience in this area includes project financing, bridging and end-financing, property financing, share acquisition financing, syndicated loans and exchange control matters. His practice includes Islamic Banking and Finance and general corporate matters including joint ventures and shareholders arrangements, share sale transactions, development agreements, partnership agreements, franchise agreements, distributorship and supply contracts, construction contracts, hotel management, manufacturing technical assistance and service agreements. Sek Jek has also provided opinions to international corporations and international solicitors.

Sek Jek had and continues to handle real estate matters including land matters, acquisition of real property by locals and foreigners, leases and tenancies, surrender of land and subdivision, strata title and management issues. He advises regularly on the Strata Titles Act and the Strata Management Act and has been invited by developers and clients to provide in-house seminars on the same.

Sek Jek is fluent in Hokkien. He is also able to converse in Mandarin, Cantonese and Hainanese.

He is also a sports enthusiast. Away from his desk, Sek Jek can be found cycling, swimming or running. He strives to serve an ace on the tennis court and would occasionally plan a hike in the great outdoors.
