Datuk Nik Hussain Bin Nik Ali qualified in 1960 and was in the Judicial and Legal Services for 18 years before entering private practice. During that 18 years, Datuk Nik served as an Assistant District Officer, a Magistrate, as the President of the Sessions Court, as Senior Federal Counsel, as Deputy Parliamentary Draughtsman and finally, as the Registrar of Companies.
While serving as a Senior Federal Counsel, Datuk Nik was transferred to the Anti-Corruption Commission of Malaysia (as it was then known). It was during this time that Datuk Nik was seconded to the Ministry of Home Affairs in London and to Scotland Yard. There, he gained extensive exposure to the workings of anti-corruption law in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Datuk Nik was further given the opportunity to study anti-corruption law in both England and America before returning to Malaysia to serve the Commission here.
Datuk Nik joined NHP as Partner in 1975.
He is an expert in Company, Commercial and Corporate Law.
Up until his 70th birthday, Datuk Nik sat on the Board of Directors of several public listed companies.
When not in the office, Datuk Nik has his hands full with his grandchildren; all clamouring for his attention. He enjoys travelling, an 18-hole-course and a full-set of tennis. He can spend hours talking about photography and vintage cameras; his pride, passion and joy.
