Chong Yew Kong’s expertise is in corporate and investment banking and capital market transactions. He has advised some of Malaysia’s leading financial institutions, onshore and offshore banks and corporations on Islamic Banking instruments, mergers and acquisitions, contracts financing, shipping financing and other types of corporate transactions. He has handled due diligence exercises as required in his corporate practice.

Yew Kong has also advised and assisted international financial institutions on cross-border transactions, on foreign currency exchanges and transactions, as well as offshore financing. He has also acted for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) on acquisitions of real estate and the relevant financing transactions arising from the same.

When not closing deals or advising clients, Yew Kong unwinds by enjoying the rhythms and beats of his favourite music genres or getting lost in the world of cinema.
